Flip & Flop – Netherland Dwarfs

  • Female
  • 2 years old
  • Arrived 26th August, 2020
  • Fostered in Congleton

This gorgeous pair of indoor bunnies came into our care because their owner did not have the time or money for them. She got them as babies from a pet shop and planned to bond them (we believe them to be sisters) but never did. One went to foster, one went to private boarding, both were very poorly and had to see the vet a couple of times, they were obese, had to be hand-fed, Flip had to have a much-needed dental. It came to light sometime later that even though they lived apart they were only separated by a wire mesh, so we decided to reunite and bond them in the foster home. The rest is history!

They are a beautiful pair of bunnies, quite sensitive, very sweet, they love toys and to play!
They are indoor rabbits; we did try them outside but they did not adapt well so are now indoors where they are their happiest.

Flip is likely to need one or two dentals in the next year, thereafter potentially yearly but our exotics vet advised a good diet should prevent this. Any knowledgeable rabbit owner will know dental issues comes with the territory! So, they will need an experienced rabbit owner who will spot the signs. A home without children as they have lived in an adult home only and they are not suitable to be handled by children.
