Irisa – Dutch Brown and white

  • Female
  • 4 years old approx.
  • Arrived 12th August, 2020
  • Boarded at Rode Heath

Irisa came in via the Inspectors with two other rabbits as the owner could not afford to provide food and bedding as she had too many rabbits. Irisa was acquired via the internet as the lady felt sorry for her. Irisa was used as a breeding machine and this why the lady rescued her.

She’s looking for a home with a neutered male to bond with and live happily ever after! Irisa can be very grumpy, obviously because of her background. But she is getting slightly better. She can get very stressed as well. Needs time but we are making little steps with her. Irisa has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated; she had some spurs removed and our vet says she shouldn’t have any more problems but to be mindful.

Housing requirement is a minimum 6ft shed or 6 x 2 x 2 hutch with a minimum ‘attached’ 10 x 4 x 3ft (height) run or a bespoke spacious set up with ideally the freedom to a secure garden/alternative area for stimulation; exercise, space and enrichment is most important!
