Patrick – Budgie Reserved

  • Young adult
  • Male
  • Arrived October, 2020
  • Fostered in Macclesfield

Patrick was rescued from a hoarding case where he, along with another male budgie named Frank, had been living together in a small cage in squalid conditions. Unfortunately, we have no history on these boys but after being in foster care for three months, it has become apparent that Patricks friend Frank, sadly does not like him. This is a real shame for Patrick as he is full of character and loves to talk, especially to himself in his mirror!

We would like to find a home for Patrick when he can be the socialite he longs to be, and have another budgie or budgie friends to talk, snuggle and play with; slowly introduced.

Patrick has been used to an all-seed diet and has slowly been taking more interest in fresh veg and fruit – he will need some more time and help to adapt to a healthier diet. His favourite is boiled egg yolk and he is also quite partial to a bunch of basil to nibble at.

He is a keen pole dancer using his swing as his prop and whilst he would love some budgie friends, he isn’t too keen on human interaction. He is very hand shy and does not yet have the confidence to jump on your finger, but his fosterer has said he is getting more used to slow hand movements in his cage, where he has started eating handheld millet as a treat.

Patrick will be a fun and lively addition to any flock and with his good looks – we hope it won’t take too long to find his happy ever after.

Adoption fee is £10
