We realise not everyone is in a position to adopt a companion, so why not take a look at our virtual adoption scheme …..

Pippa was abandoned by her owner. She’d been left to fend for herself outside for a few weeks and prior to that regularly left for long periods of time. The RSPCA Inspector managed to find veterinary history from a few years ago. She was already neutered and microchipped. The owner could not be located. She spent a few weeks in a privately owned cattery under the National RSPCA until a rehoming space was found by our Branch.

Her fosterer kindly purchased a slow feeder because Pippa would wolf her food down not knowing when her next meal was.

A few words from Pippa’s foster Mum:

This gorgeous 9-year-old with striking ginger and white fur, is full of personality and charm. Pippa knows her own mind and expresses it vocally and with her swishing tail.

She loves playtime, especially on the stairs and will keep you entertained with her fluffy antics and talkative nature. While she does enjoy affection, and prefers it on her terms—over-fussing may lead to a gentle nip, so patience and understanding are key. She would be fine with older children who respect her boundaries. Of course, behaviour like this tends to calm down over a period of time, it’s still very early days. She will need a home where she can come and go as she pleases.

If you’re ready to welcome a confident and independent companion, Pippa could be the perfect addition to your family!..
