We realise not everyone is in a position to adopt a companion, so why not take a look at our
virtual adoption scheme …..
Princess’ current situation: Six months after adoption, sadly, Princess has been returned. Her elderly adopter struggled with such a young playful cat who has a cheeky side. That’s two failed adoptions now – the first home was with young children but they just did not get on. We hope this’ll be third time lucky for this beautiful lady. Her perfect match is out there somewhere! All it takes is someone who understands cats; simples!
There is nothing abnormal about Princess, she really can be affectionate, she is a “Nortie Tortie,” that’s all!
So please please…give her a chance! She just wants a calm existence, with someone experienced, a home where she can enjoy the outdoors as and when she pleases as she’d just love that! BUT also lots of toys and enrichment because she’ll be bored otherwise; she needs play and attention. We are looking for an adult only home with no other pets. As the recent photo shows (the others are from a few months ago) she’s got quite portly in her last home so is on a diet.
History prior to adoptions: Originally arrived 26th January 2024 and in a foster home. Princess was left behind in a property after her owners were evicted. There was another cat who was caught sooner who went to another branch but, we believe, a pet free home is best. A common scenario but not one to which we can ever harden up. Princess has settled in well and is doing fine, she was a little timid at first and took a few days to come out of hiding but then she was feeling more confident. She’s a friendly girl who loves a fuss. Happy to be picked up and will sit close by your lap. No aggression whatsoever. It’s early days but we feel she’ll blossom more! She was already neutered and chipped. She had a dental which resulted in an extraction. She’s had her health check and been vaccinated.
