We realise not everyone is in a position to adopt a companion, so why not take a look at our virtual adoption scheme …..
Snowy: A very bold and inquisitive bunny who is always in on the action. Mango: A timid bunny but loves being hand-fed and enjoys the occasional stroke. Both LOVE ZOOMIES around the garden!
Mango came in with a sibling to the RSPCA’s Greater Manchester Animal Hospital via an Inspector in June 2022. Lots of rabbits were left behind when the owner moved out. They were let out onto the fields. Some had gone missing, no doubt dying or attempting to fend for themselves. Others were caught by the neighbour, who actually kept three rabbits (the RSPCA helped with neutering them), which is nice.
Mango was very thin, which is of no surprise considering! She was neutered, vaccinated and microchipped at the hospital. She was adopted in June 2022 and bonded very strongly with Snowy, who was also a rescue. They have a wonderful life but their current owner has made the very difficult decision to rehome them due to severe allergies. He is keeping them until we find a new home where they have similar large accommodation and can free range daily.
WE CAN NOT ACCEPT ANY APPLICATIONS IF YOU CAN NOT PROVIDE THE BELOW REQUIREMENTS
Outdoor housing requirement is a minimum 6ft shed/house with a minimum of 60 sq. feet of secure covered floor space, normally a run and it has to be 3ft in height attached securely to the rabbit house, with the freedom to a secure garden/alternative area for stimulation; exercise, space and enrichment are most important!
