Meet Sweetie, a delightful Lurcher looking for her forever home! Sweetie is the epitome of kindness – she’s gentle, affectionate and loves nothing more than curling up for cuddles. She’s playful and full of energy, enjoying every moment spent running and exploring with her furry friends and chasing balls. Sweetie has a heart of gold and gets along with all dogs, making her an ideal companion for a household with others.

Sweetie absolutely adores people of all ages, showering everyone she meets with love and affection. She’s never shown any aggression and has a calm, loving nature that makes her the perfect family addition. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and loving companion, Sweetie might just be the perfect fit for you!

STORY

The National Society appealed to branches for foster homes for 12 nine-month old Luchers seized as part of an ongoing legal case – this was to avoid a long term kennel stay as prosecutions can take a very long time.

Her breeder was allowing many dogs to live in filthy conditions. Most living outside, the pups had already spent several months in kennels after arrival with the RSPCA and hadn’t lived indoors in the original home. The case is still ongoing (so we cannot divulge any more information) but the dogs have been authorised by the courts for rehoming after a year and a half!

Sweetie isn’t fully house trained but she currently doesn’t have access to a garden so we feel a house with a secure garden will help greatly!

Sweetie has just finished her second season (March 2025) so we will cover the cost of spaying, which is mandatory, in 2-3 months time. Resident male dogs must be neutered.

If you’d be interested in giving a home to Sweetie please contact our Rehoming Co-ordinator for an application form on: rehoming@rspca-macclesfield.org.uk
