Waffle – Cross Breed

Waffle came into our care via the RSPCA Inspectorate along with his brother. The owner had suddenly lost their partner who was the main carer for the dogs. He’s a pleasant man just struggling to look after himself and has let conditions slip quite rapidly for both himself and the dogs.

Waffle is a bit different. I held my camera to take his picture and he was, it seems, convinced that a great cyclops had come to claim him; he curled himself closer into his handler, his friend, whom he knew and trusted, pushing his head underneath his arm and tenderly kissing at his cheek. His comparative lack of confidence does not, I assure you, imply that he’s any less lovely than his brother.”

Waffle will be neutered in due course, he’s chipped and vaccinated.
