We realise not everyone is in a position to adopt a companion, so why not take a look at our virtual adoption scheme …..
Whiskers was a stray for some time, he came to us recovering from an abscess and had many scabs from previous cat fights. His skin was sore and itchy and he was feeling a bit mithered because he had to wear a cone and have different treatments. He is now feeling and looking lots better and his true personality is beginning to shine through. He is a friendly boy but can be a little bit cheeky so would be better with cat savvy children over 8 years old. The vet said an old injury or cat bite/stress is causing him to be uncomfortable and over groom so we’re trying him on Gabapentin.
Whiskers has been FIV/FeLV tested negative, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
He is looking for a pet free home. A home where he can come and go as he pleases..

March update – Who’d have thought it? Our vet recommended acupuncture for our Whiskers.
He’s also receiving physiotherapy for some pain he’s experiencing (the vet has managed to pinpoint the area with which he’s struggling) from the day he arrived. X-ray has since showed a very slight change in the bottom of his spine which answers a lot of questions! So basically, like humans, he has the equivalent of a bit of sciatica. He’s receiving the best care and we hope he’ll be much more comfortable moving forward and no one will be put off him.
He is a happy, very affectionate and active boy!
