We realise not everyone is in a position to adopt a companion, so why not take a look at our
virtual adoption scheme …..

Loopy Leggy Loki should be this one’s full name! If you’ve had Lurchers before you’ll know exactly what we mean!

HISTORY: 2023 Loki was reported as abandoned. Lots of poo in the flat. Being left days at a time. The owner turned up during a second visit by the officers.

Loki was signed over. He spent 2½ months in emergency private boarding under the National Society waiting for a Rehoming branch to take him in – that’s where we come in. The staff there couldn’t fault him. Sadly due to constant tail wagging and whipping and being a big dog with a long tail in a kennel he badly injured his tail which had to be amputated. Then he came into one of our foster homes.

Attached is information from when Loki was originally in our foster care.

CURRENT: He was adopted in 2023 but due to a change in circumstances he needs a new home. His current owners are happy to keep him till he’s adopted. Adoption fee £300 will be paid to our branch.

A few words from Loki’s current owner:

Loki is a long legged loopy boy, he has the best character and is such a funny, comical dog. He is the most loving dog and loves a cuddle and to be tucked into his blankets.

He walks well on the lead but must be consistent with training as he loves to try and chase squirrels and cats when he sees them and can be strong!

He is house trained, and is not destructive, he knows a few commands like sit, paw, and lay down, and is very well behaved, he simply is an all round wonderful dog!

He suits being the only dog in the home just because of his boisterous play. Absolutely no cats or small animals. He needs a secure garden with a minimum 6ft high perimeter due to his chase instinct! Secondary school aged children and older will be a good match.
