We realise not everyone is in a position to adopt a companion, so why not take a look at our
virtual adoption scheme …..
Raffa came in with his brother when they were three months old. Their owner contacted us for help as she, and her daughter, were very allergic to them; despite trying everything they couldn’t get on top of it. Unfortunately, the brothers started fighting so had to be separated. We’ve since had them neutered and Raffa is now ready for a new start with a female for company!
Fosterer’s update:
Raffa is a very cute Rex guinea pig with short, fuzzy fur. He’s white apart from black markings on his face and a round black patch on his back. He’s extremely curious and loves climbing on anything he can find in his run.
Raffa can still be a little skittish when being picked up from his run, but once he’s out of his run he’s easy to handle. He’ll happily sit quietly on your knee for long periods of time and enjoys being gently stroked. And with ongoing handling, he’ll become even tamer. He previously had an unsuccessful adoption with a group of older females, so we think he’d be best suited to either a group of younger females (under 6 months) or a single female companion, an experienced person is ideal.
Male guinea pigs require a MINIMUM 6 X 2 foot indoor C and C Enclosure. The more space the better!
