We realise not everyone is in a position to adopt a companion, so why not take a look at our
virtual adoption scheme …..
Henry is a very handsome boy indeed-just look at that cheeky face and those unusual markings!
HISTORY:
He came into RSPCA care back in 2015 as a kitten, via an Inspector, as his elderly owners were not able to cope. He was adopted by another couple but was returned after a few weeks for the same reason. He had lived with the RSPCA Inspector for a couple of weeks and he’d been good as gold and while he was in our cattery he was great! He was already neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. He was adopted successfully but…
CURRENT SITUATION:
Unbelievably, Henry, aka “The Boss,” has been returned after 11 years because his now elderly owners are struggling with health problems and The Boss was causing some problems. In fairness to them, they have looked after Henry extremely well despite his very bossy ways.
He cannot be rehomed with children or elderly folk. He will need lots of enrichment to channel his rambunctious energy and he LOVES the great outdoors. He is a very territorial tom and has been in and out of the vets over the years for fight related abscesses. A rural home (too many cats in residential areas) is required. So, if you want a tom, full of character with a sharp tongue, so to speak, and who will keep you on your toes – this is the cat for you! Be aware though…he will be interviewing you, not the other way round and we think he’ll probably be antisocial when you visit. PLEASE NOTE he does have an affectionate side to him too!
We have removed the cist pictured, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, he had a dental as he had a badly broken tooth, and has had his annual booster.
If you’d be interested in sharing your home with Henry, please email rehoming@rspca-macclesfield.org.uk for an application form.
