Luna – English Bull Terrier

We realise not everyone is in a position to adopt a companion, so why not take a look at our virtual adoption scheme …..

A Special Appeal for Luna

If joy itself had legs with which to dance, they would be Luna’s legs.
If glee could prick up its ears and wag its tail, they would be Luna’s ears, Luna’s tail.
If delight could live and breathe and walk and run and frolic, it would do so with a squat little body, a smile that could light up a room – and would answer to the name Luna.

Perhaps the word which best describes Luna is enthusiasm.

Luna doesn’t bother herself with trite formalities, there is no bowing of the head or bending of the knees, she rushes headlong into your arms. She’s the sort of dog whose feet appear to have been made – primarily – for dancing, with walking a mere secondary function. Her attitude to life is infectious; optimistic, eager and, in spite of everything, hopeful.

She is joy, she is glee, she is delight, but – most of all – she is Luna.

This delightful lady came into national RSPCA’s care in September; she was removed from a property by police after she had been abandoned and living in filthy conditions. The owner was traced, he was unfortunately in prison.

Luna had sore skin, bad teeth, she was also lactating but not pregnant. She was under the care of the National Society for two months while things were investigated and a rehoming branch was found for her …..and that’s where we come in.

Luna is now in fine condition after treatment, neutering and a dental. She also had bladder stones removed that appeared later on in our care, see photo, they were huge!

Luna is a people person and loves fuss and attention. She is feeling great now and is ready for new beginnings.
